UGM COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM (KKN-PPM) PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS

Academic Requirements

  • Must be registered as an active student.

  • KKN-PPM is mandatory for students of Diploma 4, Bachelor’s, and professional programs at Universitas Gadjah Mada, carrying a credit weight of 10 credits, with a minimum duration of 2 months or equivalent to 288 hours of effective fieldwork.

  • Must have completed at least 96 credits of coursework and practicums, with no grades of E (in accordance with the applicable Rector’s Decree of Universitas Gadjah Mada).

  • Must be registered as a KKN-PPM participant at their faculty, as evidenced by the Study Plan Card (KRS) for the semester in which KKN-PPM is conducted.

  • In accordance with the Circular Letter from the Vice-Rector for Education, Teaching, and Student Affairs Number 3889/UN1.P.I/DIR-PP/DI/2020 regarding SIA Simaster Data Entry, the following information on the updated KRS system for KKN-PPM activities is provided:

    • KKN for period 1 is recorded in the even semester KRS.

    • KKN for period 2 is recorded in the inter-semester KRS.

    • KKN for period 3 is recorded in the odd semester KRS.

    • KKN for period 4 is recorded in the even semester KRS.

  • Must not be enrolled in any other courses or practicums.

  • For female students, must not be pregnant.

  • The verification of the KKN-PPM participant candidates list is conducted by the faculty to DPkM through the Simaster faculty admin.

  • The KKN-PPM activity is recognized for a total of 10 credits, with the following details:

    • UNU222001 KKN-PPM: 4 credits

    • UNU222002 Community Communication: 2 credits

    • UNU222003 Appropriate Technology Application: 2 credits (for science and agro-cluster students), or

    • UNU222004 Knowledge Management Application: 2 credits (for social sciences, humanities, and health cluster students), and

    • 2 credits from the Health Literacy MOOC

Administrative Requirements

  • Must pass the verification of academic and administrative requirements for KKN-PPM candidate participants, conducted by the faculty’s academic division.

  • Must be verified as a KKN-PPM participant by the faculty admin.

  • KKN-PPM candidate participants must attend the entire series of briefings, general test, and health screening for KKN-PPM, according to the scheduled timeline.

  • KKN-PPM participants are those who receive a placement location for KKN-PPM as listed on simaster.ugm.ac.id.

KKN-PPM UGM Periods

  • Period 1: April – May

  • Period 2: July – August

  • Period 3: October – November

  • Period 4: December – February
