The HIMA Cabinet The Archaeology Student Association (HIMA) was established in Yogyakarta on November 19, 1963. HIMA is a forum for archaeology students to work and serve as part of their obligations as students.
Originally, the name of this student association was IKAMIPA (Association of Prehistoric Science Families), but in 1972 it was renamed HIMA because the department's name had also changed from Prehistoric Science to Archaeology. When it was still called IKAMIPA, its emblem was the standard UGM emblem, but after the name change, a new emblem was created, which was a slightly modified Kala. The creator of this Kala emblem was Gendon Subandono (class of 82/83), who was also active in Kapalasastra and is now a paragliding instructor. Meanwhile, the Archaeology Anthem was created during HIMA's leadership under Jarwo Susetyo, also known as Mas Menyung, a period described as a time of explosive creative ideas and high productivity for HIMA.
