
Pimnas 33 (National Student Scientific Week), held online and offline from November 24 to 28, 2020, has placed several students from the Archaeology Study Program at FIB UGM in the final round. Joining several groups with students from other study programs, they are:
- Rachmat Krismono, Assajie Satyananda, and Sumardiyanto (History), with the title: “Local Genius: The Reincarnation of Borobudur Temple Reliefs as a Revitalization of Indonesia’s Mental Revolution,” received a gold-equivalent award in the poster category,
- Yori Akbar Setiyawan, Katarina Almanda A.S., and Riris Rinonce Hapsari (Tourism), with the title: “Everatour: Realizing Museum Integration as a Strategy for Developing World Heritage Tourism at the Sangiran Site”
- Naufal Raffi Arrazaq, Indah Nurafani Syarqiyah, and Sahmu Hidayat (Javanese Literature), with the title: “Uncovering Ancient Catastrophes in Yogyakarta Based on Indigenous Communities from a Philological Archaeology Perspective,” received a gold-equivalent award in the presentation category and the poster category,
- Indah Nurafani Syarqiyah, Selly Juanisa Harsela, and Lesta Alfatiana (History), with the title: “Tracing the Traces of Tolerance in the Majapahit Kingdom as a Source of National Character Education,” received a bronze award in the poster category,
- Abednego Andhana P., along with Charistya H (team leader, Cultural Anthropology), and Muhammad Dian S.T. (Cultural Anthropology), with the title “Tracing Diasporas in Indonesia: Adaptation Strategies of the New Caledonian Diaspora Community in Lampung in Maintaining National Cultural Hybridization,” received a gold-equivalent award in the presentation category.
The five awards received are all the awards obtained by teams from FIB UGM this year. Over several months, they prepared their materials and practiced their presentations under the guidance of faculty members, including D.S. Nugrahani and Fahmi Prihantoro from the Department of Archaeology, and Aprilia Firmonasari from the Department of Language and Literature. Fahmi Prihantoro also mentored a group from another faculty that received a silver-equivalent award. Congratulations to all of them!
